Sheepskin Mattress Pads/Underlay
Sheepskin underlays are a mattress pad that covers the whole bed and has elastic straps to hold it in place. Unlike cheaper imitations this is made from genuine medical sheepskin pelts expertly sewn together, not a woven product made from wool fleece or manmade fibers. It is shorn to a uniform pile length and trimmed to a rectangular size to cover the whole bed. All edges are neatly covered with a trim and straps hold the sheepskin mattress pad firmly on the bed. For added comfort the skin is backed with a wool filled padding.
The dense, shorn wool pile supports the body and encourages good circulation, helping muscle relaxation and avoiding chills. Pain experienced by sufferers of rheumatism and backache is soothed.
